NANCY, MEURTHE-ET-MOSELLE – A 31-year-old man has suffered pericarditis shortly after receiving the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. Mickaël De Oliveira got the shot on Thursday, October 7th. He immediately felt unwell. The young man made several appointments for his symptoms before going to the ER where he was diagnosed with pericarditis.
Mickaël says that the only reason he took the vaccine is because of the recent introduction of the health pass:
“I play soccer and I do improv theater – to continue – I needed the pass. Likewise, to have a normal social life. I would’ve never taken the vaccine if it wasn’t for the health pass.”
He regrets having given in to the pressure. Today, he is no longer able to play any sports or even do improv theater. Mickaël is now worried about his future and admits that pericarditis is not his only concern:
“I am constantly out of breath. My cardiologist advised me against getting a second dose of the vaccine, I was able to get a health pass. But how long is this pass going to be valid?”
