ACRE, BRAZIL – The first indigenous person in Brazil to get the COVID-19 vaccine died just 9 days after the injection. Fernando Katukina received his shot on January 19th during a specialized event to promote COVID-19 vaccine acceptance among indigenous people. He died on February 1st as a result of a sudden cardiac arrest.
