Brazil vs. Argentina Suspended After Health Officials Storm Pitch Due To Controversy Over COVID-19 Protocols

BRAZIL – World Cup qualifier Brazil vs. Argentina has been suspended after Brazilian health authorities and police entered the field of play to detain four Argentinian players who failed to quarantine after entering the country.

Brazil’s health regulator Anvisa demanded that Argentina’s Premier League quartet Emi Buendia, Emiliano Martinez, Giovani Lo Celso, and Cristian Romero be in isolation after spending part of the last 14 days in the United Kingdom.
